Karen Millen joins premium brands on Debenhams

04/07/2023 by admin

Debenhams has undergone a transformation after the closure of its physical stores and takeover by BooHoo. It is now a digital platform that sells a variety of own and third-party brands across various price points. The new premium division of the website, set to launch in 2023, will offer Boohoo owned brands including Karen Millen, Oasis, Wallis, Coast, Dorothy Perkins, and Burton.

According to Dan Finley, the CEO of Debenhams, the premium brand section of the website will:

“have an elevated presence and we want it to be the extension of their direct to consumer strategy.”

The addition of a premium section to the digital department store will make it easier for shoppers to find quality fashion brands.

Karen Millen, which no longer operates physical stores, offers a range of fashion items, such as dresses, beachwear, shoes and accessories, on its website and through Debenhams. The company takes pride in the fact that a large proportion of its clothes, which are stored on heavy-duty garment rails, are made in the UK. Additionally, their warehouses use equipment that is manufactured within the country.

With this new addition, Debenhams aims to become a major digital department store, selling a mixture of everyday and premium brands in the fashion, beauty, and home sectors. With the companies long-standing history and reputation in the retail sector, Debenhams wishes reclaim its position as Britain’s greatest department store.
