Crew Clothing expands its AI-powered task management system
08/12/2025 by Fenton Richardson
Clothing retailer Crew Clothing has announced that it is extending its AI-powered task management system. Cegid, a retail management software company, has developed the technology used by Crew Clothing.
Crew Clothing operates 124 retail stores and has a large online store, supported by warehouses with heavy duty garment rails full of Crew Clothing-branded leisure wear. Crew Clothing’s sister brands, Ben Sherman with 15 stores and Salt Rock with 78, also use the Cegid management system.
The Cegid system provides task management services, including digitised checklists and forms that keep product development on track. The system also improves communication between the head office and retail stores. Additionally, it helps with visual merchandising, including photo capture and feedback processes.
The software gives every member of staff access to real-time information about the business. It frees up administration time so that staff can focus on customer needs rather than being absorbed by spreadsheets and emails.
The expansion of the system will further improve the management of Crew Clothing by making issues easier to spot and solutions implemented faster. Store staff and head office managers can share real-time progress on issues and receive help instantly.
Bailey Collett, operations coordinator at Crew Clothing, said that he views the AI-driven tool as the company’s operating system,
“We simply couldn’t run retail operations at our current scale and pace without it.”
Stores remain a major area of growth in the company. The Cegid system makes managing each store more efficient and contributes to their profitability.
