Crew Clothing sales surge

Crew Clothing, a British casual wear brand, has recently released its financial report for the year 2022 that shows the company is thriving.

The report reveals an impressive surge in sales of 22% from £82.7 million in 2021 to £101.3 million. The success of Crew Clothing can be attributed to its strategic approach that involves operating through various marketplaces including its own stores, an online e-commerce platform, a wholesale division, and partnerships with renowned brands like Marks & Spencer, Next and John Lewis.

The company’s distribution centre in Wigan is operated by a third party logistics company, and has many heavy duty garment rails holding British-designed casual wear, inspired by yachting and sporting traditions. Despite the increase in sales figures this year, profits have declined from £16 million last year to £13.5 million. This decrease is largely due to the end of generous government grants during the Covid pandemic.

Crew Clothing is optimistic about the future. A spokesperson for the company stated:

“We are confident that a loyal customer base, sensible, marketing strategy and tight operating costs control will help Crew Clothing withstand the current inflationary pressures and cost of living challenges.”

Crew Clothing’s future growth plans are aimed at increasing sales within its own stores as well as those of its partners. The company was founded in 1993, and operates over 100 stores in the UK. It plans to open around 40 new stores by 2025, focusing on establishing a brand presence in market towns and coastal resorts across Britain.
